Puech de la Borie is a family-run bed and breakfast (chambres d'hôtes) set amid the rolling countryside of the Tarn département of South West France. Within easy distance of Cordes-sur-Ciel and Albi, this private farmhouse is situated on the rise of a hill and has stunning views towards the Black Mountains and the distant Pyrenees.
The house is set in spacious grounds with a large swimming pool and shady terraces. The bedrooms are light and airy and equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and television.
Here you can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay yet still be within easy driving distance of medieval villages, a choice of restaurants and outdoor activities, whilst all around is the stunning scenery of this beautiful region.
The area is steeped in history with many bastide towns including Cordes-sur-Ciel, Najac, St Antonin Noble Val (with its famous weekly market) and the département capital of Albi with its magnificent brick-built cathedral and Toulouse Lautrec museum.
The nearest village is Mirandol-Bourgnounac (4 miles away) where you will find a restaurant, bar, mini-market, chemist, cash dispenser and petrol station. Two larger supermarkets and a variety of shops can be found at Carmaux (12 miles away) which also holds a large market every Friday.
